Programs
Cheryl facilitates the Division's role in enabling General Practices to continue to provide and improve their immunisation services to the wider community. Her role includes assisting practices which have immunisation coverage rates below 90% and maintaining a good working relationship with other stake holders like SSWAHS Public Health, Wingecarribee Council, SBOs, other Divisions and AGPN. Cheryl is able to provide up to date information regarding all facets of immunisation and vaccine preventable diseases through practice visits, education sessions etc. Assisting administration staff with immunisation data, recalls and ACIR immunisation encounters are also part of Cheryl's responsibilities. Cheryl assists with data logging of vaccine fridges to ensure cold chain guidelines are followed to ensure viable vaccines.
Cheryl is also working as a Lifestyle Officer on the Live Life Well Prevent Diabetes Program, along with Lucy Davies and Lyra L'Estrange. The Live Life Well Program is a program for those at risk of developing type 2 diabetes, with a focus on eating better and moving more.
Contact
GPs and practice staff can access the Immunisation program by contacting the Division directly by phone, fax, mail or email. Appropriate appointments and visits from the Division and other key stakeholders (eg. NSW ACIR Field Officers etc.) can be arranged as required. Cheryl can be contacted by email directly, however, because Cheryl works one day a week there may be a slight delay in reply. For more pressing matters please contact the Division directly.
