Programs

Jill's role is to provide diabetes education to people with diabetes who are referred by their GPs.  Jill operates an integrated program with the Health Service Dietetic Program and the endocrinologist.  Her role involves monitoring the on-going care of people with diabetes using the NH&MRC guidelines. People at special risk of developing diabetic complications are identified so the GP can develop a Care Plan.  The program also encourages people with diabetes to undertake physical activity programs  as well as assisting GPs to identify people at risk of developing diabetes.
