Julie is responsible for the GP After Hours Service which provides after hours cover for patients of participating practices in the form of a professional telephone answering service and a GP clinic.

Julie organises the telephone answering service which operates from 5.30pm – 8.00am on weeknights, 12noon – 8.00am Saturdays and 8.00am – 8.00am the following day Sundays & Public Holidays. One GP is on call over these times to accept and respond to messages from patients taken by the call service (located in Sydney).

The GP After Hours Clinic is located in the Day Surgery Unit at the rear of the Southern Highlands Private Hospital, Sheffield Rd, Bowral. The Clinic operates Saturdays 3.00pm – 5.00pm, Sundays & public holidays 10.00am -12noon and 3.00pm – 5.00pm. The clinic does not bulk bill and charges apply.

It is Julie's role to facilitate participating practices in advertising the program in their surgeries and on their telephone message machines.

Julie also promotes the Bluearth program in local primary schools which encourages children to take up exercise as a regualr part of their lives. For more information about Bluearth please contact Julie.

Julie takes responsibility for organising the The Practice Managers / Staff Support Network. The Practice Managers Support Network provides a forum for networking and peer support for practice managers and staff working in practices within our Division. Meetings are held approximately quarterly on a Friday morning and allow disussion of current practice management issues and needs as well as an opportunity for sharing and exchange of knowledge, expertise and experience. Attendance is open to all practice managers and administration staff within the Division area. For more information please contact Julie.

The Division is represented by Julie on the committee of the two yearly event Relay for Life and contributes to this event by providing health professionals to assist with health promotion activities on the day.
